Math Aquarium How To Do These Math Problems?

How to do these math problems? - math aquarium

Jesse is 12 inches by 6 inches x 8 inch rectangular glass aquariums. Glass costs $ 80 per square inch. How does a tank cost?

A cylinder has a diameter of 10 inches high and 4 to explain the reproduction, if the amount would have only the same effect as doubling only radio in the region. What happens if you double on both dimensions?

Try in the equations. Do you know the equations for the region?

Length * width = area

The area of a circle = (radius) squared * pi

First, identify the areas. Here are the different areas of the surface. Then add up the areas. This gives the total area.

If you double-height, then duplicating radio is different. The new radio is 2 * R. compare R-square (2R) squared.

Like you, I do not think Siad that the height is 8 cm

Broken glass = 2 x 6 x 8 = 96 square centimeters
.......................... 2 x 8 x 12 = 192 square centimeters
.......................... 1 x 6 x 12 = 72 square centimeters
Total area = 360 square inches
The cost of glass = 80 x $ 360 = $ 288

Surface of a cylinder = 2 x pi xr ^ 2 + 2 x pi xrxh

A doubling of the radius would have a greater effect on the resulting surface will have twice the height

First S / A = 282.74 square centimeters
Radio 10 gives = 879.65 square centimeters
Height = 8 provides 408.41 square centimeters
Duplicate both are 1130.97 sq inches

Areas
12x6 = 72
12x8 = 96
6x8 = 48

It consists of two parts, a base and a front and back, if there is a lid, if the needs identified

2 x 72 + 2x96 + 2x48 = 432 square inch Cost = 0.80 * 432 = $ 345.60

If there is a lid that you can understand what the dimension of height, so that a glass of forgetting. For example, if the 12 "dimension, the height, then one of the plates of the 6x8 is not necessary and the drop in the area of 48 square centimeters.

This is a solid cylinder with an upper and lower cylindrical or just the face? If you ignore the faces around the top and bottom of the dual-radio, or a doubling of the amount is twice the surface area. Duplicate both the surface quadruple. Taking into account the top and bottom circular faces, then the change is increased and the doubling of the radius by a factor of four, but twice the height does not increase the circular faces.

Circular area of the face is
2 x pi x radius x height = 2 x 3.14 x 5x 4 = 125.66

Double height = 2 x 3.14 x 5 x 8 = 251.33

Double radius = 2 x 3.14 x 10 x 4 = 251.33

Double Deux = 2 x 3.14 x 10 x 8 = 502.65

End zone face is 2 x pi xr ^ 2 = 2 x 3.14 x 5 ^ 2 = 157

Double height unchanged

Double radius = 2 x pi xr ^ 2 = 2 x 3.14 x 10 ^ 2 = 628

One can see that the flat round face and the biggest difference in the total make of them is greater than the curved surface.

2 pages are 12x8
2 pages are 6x8
Background is 12x6

12 * 8 * $ 0.8 = $ 76.80 * 2 pages = 153.60

6 * 8 * $ 0.8 = $ 38.4 * 2 pages = 76.80

12 * 6 * $ 0.8 = 57.6 million

Aquarium = total cost of the 4 sides and bottom = 153.6 + 76.8 + 57.6 = $ 288.00

The second problem

Cylinder with a diameter d = 10 "
Cylinder radius r = d / 2 = 5,
Cylinder height, h = 4

Surface of a cylinder = 2 * pi * r ^ 2 + 2 pi rh

if the actual surface area is 282.7 in ^ 2

If you double the value of the height, h, 4 to 8 then we have an area of 408.2 in ^ 2

If we take the radius of 5 to 10 cm (height, Re H-4), then with an area of 879.2 in ^ 2

If we take the value
h = 8
r = 10
(both values) are doubled, then we have an area of 1130.4 in ^ 2

Thus we can see that only twice has the smallest increase in size, doubling the radius will not only increase more and double the height and radius YieLDS The largest increase in
